Abstract
Based on research conducted in 2013 in the Canton of Ticino (South Switzerland), this article aims to analyze the main educational and school-related implications in a setting afferent to neuroscientific paradigms. The results of this study confirm the importance of a music education based not only on musical objectives, but also on a wide cognitive and emotional arousal, conscious of their role in the school context, especially as a system to enable non-musical and extra cognitive skills that can be recruited in other disciplines.
