Abstract
This article aims at introducing the dossier on citizenship connecting the theorical concept of citizenship (under the socio-political approach the scientific discourse encompasses a precise framework) with the welfare, and in particular with health and social health system aspects. In doing so is briefly mentioned the development of the vaste strand of scientific studies from Marshall on, and how the social aspects related with this dossier come to the fore in the debate between liberal theory and republicanism.
