Abstract

In this work the authors report on the spectral characterization tools in use at SUPSI. Spectral irradiance data are measured with a 3-channel long range fast spectroradiometer. Spectral response measurements of single junction PV modules are performed with a setup of target area up to 2.0×2.0 m developed at SUPSI. The calculation of spectral mismatch corrections is carried out from the measured spectral responses and spectral irradiance data. In order to minimize the spectral mismatch for different photovoltaic technologies, these data are also used to make an appropriate choice for the reference cell. Preliminary results on multi-junction modules are also shown
