Abstract

In recent years more and more application domains for finite-state technologies have crossed the bridge from research to available commercial applications. Finite-state tools in computational linguistics represent since years a technology of choice, above all for morphological analysis .In this article I will present an E-learning project on language grammar and lexicon learning, where finite-state technology is used in different aspects of the content presentation and of the learning process. The overall application has as back- end engine a combination of different finite-state elements, each instances of a common object-oriented framework.
