Full text not available from this repository.Abstract
The presentation addresses the events related to the 2016 Brexit vote and its problematic implementation and investigates how they affect the democratic theory and, in particular, the role of direct democracy. A reflection is developed around more fundamental problems associated with the theory of sovereignty. The latter is theoretically approached through the lenses of Derrida’s seminal distinction between unconditionality and sovereignty.
