Abstract
The intention of this article is to show a comparative analysis concerning the study of tasks that involve the notion of function in textbooks of Chile, France and Italy. The analysis is qualitative, and we searched for a methodological tool that facilitates the in-depth study of the proposed tasks. For this purpose, we use a specific methodology of analysis of tasks, which has been refined by different perspectives. The results show important differences in relation to the tasks analyzed from each country. The instrument of analysis turns out to be a tool capable of being used and improved in later studies.
