Abstract
This anthology of case studies is part of the research project "Critical Encyclopaedia of Restoration and Reuse of 20th-century Architecture", funded by the Swiss University Conference (SUC) and conducted between 2009 to 2012 in collaboration with the Architecture Academy of Università della Svizzera Italiana, the Lausanne Polytechnic, the Zurich Polytechnic and the Istituto Materiali e Costruzioni IMC of SUPSI of Lugano. The work gathers emblematic examples of conservation and restoration projects for buildings in fair-face concrete, already completed or still in progress, and makes this case studies available to designers, engineers and architects, researchers, restorers, students and all those people who as owners or administrators of 20th-century architectural heritage have to come to terms with the definition of intervention criteria and operative choices.
