Abstract

The nondestructive imaging of dielectric targets with metallic inclusions is discussed and new experimental results are reported. The proposed approach is based on the solution, by means of an iterative distorted-wave Born approximation, of the integral equation for the inverse scattering problem. The input values for the reconstruction procedure are provided by a prototype of an imaging system, operating in a tomographic arrangement at microwave frequencies.
