Abstract

Background In 2019, a new IPE-collaboration between educational institutions was consolidated in Italian-speaking Switzerland. For the first time it included a learning unit on IPC adressedto Bachelor students in Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy as well as to Master students in Medicine. Initially didactical planning, modalities and tools were defined which required the active involvement of students and teachers. Five months before course begin, the pandemic forced a rethink of the framework in order to achieve the planned objectives and enable the students to acquire the defined skills. Objectives •To reflect on the impact of IPC on quality of care, outcomes’ achieved, organisationalrequirements and participant satisfaction. •To acquire the key concepts necessary for IPC and base the IPC practice on the subject's latest international recommendations. •To experience and live, through moments of IPE, the challenges, difficulties and added value of a practice based on interprofessionalcollaboration. •To address professional ethical, organisationaland clinical issues in a respectful, collaborative perspective based on knowledge and respect for each other's skills
